Peapod guy is wired!

As I said I would, here is the 2d wire sculpture I've been working on. It's basically one of my drawings in wire form. I managed to borrow a soldering iron from one of Ellen's friends so thank you to him! I think the last time I did soldering was when I was in year 7 electronics. So considering it's been so long, I don't think I was too bad. I was expecting the soldering to take ages but it turns out it didn't. The actual sculpting the wire into the desired shape took a fair while though. Overall, for a first time at ever doing this sort of thing, I was pretty happy with the results. This wire sculpture is going to take pride of place on my wall. As my wall colour is a very light colour, I think it will stand out really well.

Hey Bekah,
Haven't logged in for a while, and suddenly there are 4 new posts or so. I like your peapod guy. I did electronics at school, but I did it all the way to GCSE, and let me tell you - it becomes a lot less fun somewhere along the way. I still have a soldering kit kicking about because I was really enthusiastic about it at the beginning and thought I'd be doing loads at home, but by the end of the course I never wanted to see a soldering iron again. I have moved on since then, and I really like what you've done with it. If you ever need to borrow a soldering iron again I can help =D

hey ryan! thanks for commenting! Havent had any for ages!! If you want, I could make you a wire sculpture. If you choose a picture or drawing then I could try and do it! Might take you up on the soldering iron offer sometime! xxx
