Wall mural

I've had an idea in my mind for ages and ages now that I wanted a mural in my room. It's something to add in there to make the room extra awesome. I love robots and my family so I thought what better than to portray them as robots!
I'm really happy with how it turned out as it was just what I had in my mind. I projected it on my wall to see how it would look and it looks so cool!
I don't know when I'm going to get it painted though what with a puppy to look after but I hope to do it when ever the time is right. I'll definitely post it when it's finished so watch out for that!
I'm am going to have it coloured by the way. I'm actually mid- way through doing this right now! As I'm sure you know by now, you can enlarge the image if you want a better look at it.

Preparations and slight confusion!

It feels like ages since I last posted but then I look at the date and realise it's only been a few days! Time is just going so slowly in this wait for Jenna!
I'm going to visit her tomorrow evening though so that's cool.
I went out yesterday and got lots of things for her! I bought a collar and lead (with no pink in it!!) and some toys and a bowl. We also got a puppy crate too but I think we got a bit confused as to who goes where!! Doesn't Peppa look proud of herself!
I've been getting up early too because a little puppy will be up with the birds no doubt!
I'm off now to help take two of the puppies I've been visiting off to the vets for their first injection now. I think three or four of them now have left to go to their new homes! It's sad that I won't see them anymore but at least I now have Jenna!! And one of the puppies is living just round the corner so I'll get to see that one grow up!

Exciting news!

Thought I'd let you guys in on some very exciting news!
I'm getting a puppy!!!!! Those of you who know, I've been aiming to get one called Jenna for ages now and I'm so happy to say that, I went to Ambleside and met her yesterday!
She's so gorgeous and when I was there, she was happy to just snuggle into me. The breeder says that she's her favourite puppy from the litter born because she's quiet and clever.
I'm going to take her home on Friday which gives me time to get everything prepared. In the meantime though, I'm off to visit her again on Tuesday I think so that should break up the time a bit! It's like christmas all over again!!
Now this I think is a post worthy enough of a few comments to let me know what you think of her!

Cory!!

My wonderful twin sis helped me to make an outfit for Cory today!
It's not knitted I know but I just found it so frustrating that I couldn't find any patterns to fit him. Maybe when I'm a more experienced knitter I give it another go. However, I haven't given up totally on the knitted clothes front. I'm knitting him a poncho so at least that's something. It's just a bit more simple that's all!
I have a weird thing for dungarees! I just love them! I think it's because you don't see many people wear them these days so it's just that bit more unique rather than wearing jeans and T's all the time. We had some denim going spare so Ellen helped me Tailor and sew. We used her sewing machine which is relatively unknown territory for me.
Ellen loves sewing machines and making clothes so it was really cool to make these dungarees together.
Let me know what you think of mine and Ellen's handiwork!!

Animation past and present

Thought I'd show you my first ever animation that I made a year ago and to contrast it, one I made today! The plasticine one features two characters called Waddles and Max. I may decide to do something with them in the future...who knows! You can see I was new to animation because the camera is all jerky! But I was luky with the lighting though. And the UFO was a bit of an expirement with a new way of animating. I found that I could draw lots of pictures using my wacom art tablet and then put them all on windows movie maker. As I say! It's an expirement so it needs a lot of work!!

Biscuits galore!

I've been baking today!!
I got a icing kit from my auntie for christmas. You can make biscuit shapes by using the specially shaped discs that come with it too. It's so much fun!! They make so many biscuits too. I used the recipe that my aunt gave me which was I think half of the recommended recipe and found it made no less than 75 cookies! It took me ages but fortunately they only take 6 minutes to cook so I was soon churning them out.
I can see that they would be great if you wanted a quick batch to make for someone. The recipe I got worked brilliantly too and Mum said that they were literally melt in mouth!
So thank you for the great present Elizabeth!!

Waveboard!

I went out today and got some protective pads and a cool helmet! Mum being Mum, she's not happy me going out on the streets without the full gear!
So I thought I'd tell you properly about the waveboard I got for christmas! Basically it's a skateboard but with two wheels instead of four.
The wheels are free moving casters. The bar in the middle is pretty awesome as it's spring loaded and moves the boards in different directions at the same time!
It takes a bit of getting used to but once you get it sussed it actually feels quite smooth and natural. I can't wait to do it properly once al the snow has gone. It would be that I would get anoutdoor present on the year we have snow for weeks on end!

Skateboard shelves

Ok so this I feel is pretty cheeky of me to put this up now! I actually made these and had them up on the wall in the beginning of December or maybe even earlier. But what with having my camera permanently planted on a tripod with animation work, I never got round to taking a picture of them until a few days ago.
Well with all my excuses out the way, what do you think of them?! Cool huh! What I did was I simply took off the wheel trucks and then drilled some holes in the top of the deck and screwed the trucks back onto the top. I've got lots of space to collect DVDs now! The pictures on the top shelf are only temporary till I get more DVDs. I'm not buying more though any time soon as I haven't watched the ones I got yet! Everyone's been so busy that we haven't had a chance to have many movie nights.

Catch up time with time itself

Deary me! Is it just me is it always the case when Christmas holidays happen that you lose track of the days?! For ages now I haven't known what day we're on! It just feels like it all sort of blurs into one.
Anyway! I've been busy over the last few days on a number of things. I got a knit it Monkey set for Christmas and yesterday I completed it! I really enjoyed doing it which is a problem. I'm now 100 percent addicted to it! I've found the more I learn about a craft, the more I realise the creative potentials in it which is really exciting. I'm wanting to try out embroidery now as I've found a site that does 'cool embroidery' that's not like your grannys! (No offense!) But I feel I've got to hold of this idea for now as I've already got so much to do!
It's a cute little monkey isn't it! I call him Cory. As you can see though he's a little bit naked and I've looked everywhere to learn how to make clothes for him with little success. If any of you guys know how or where I could find some cool clothes patterns then please let me know!
I've also been round today to visit the puppies! I can't get over how much they've grown and changed. They are now in a pen and play with toys and eachother which is so lovely to watch. They're showing their characters too. Quite a few of them now have owners now. People have been going round to see them and choose which one they want. It's going to be so weird when they start leaving and I'll miss going round to play and have cuddles with them! But hopefully, it won't be long before I get a puppy of my own so that makes up for it!

Happy New year!!!!!

I hope you all have a good one! Well, I've had a busy few days visiting family so I'm spending the first day of 2010 chilling and getting over a rotten cold I've picked up! Fun times eh! I visited my awesome cousins whilst down there and had a great time showing them animation. These are what we managed to come up with in the flying tmie we had together. I helped with the goalie one made by Alexander and the penguin one by Jamie. They're both really interested in animation like me so who knows, maybe one day we'll all pair up and start our own animation company!
